🌦 Weather pets appear only when your real local weather matches their home. One per condition per day, and only your device's GPS counts (a VPN can't fake the weather over your head). Some pets are weather-only — you won't meet them at an ordinary bait pile:

✨ = weather-only (won't show at a normal bait pile — the real weather is the only door). The rest are common wild pets the weather simply brings out. 🔮 Mythic is the rarest of all and never drops from a game — it lives only at special, limited, real-world locations.
Your photos live on your phone. Here's exactly where a photo can go — and the one, brief exception where it ever reaches our servers.
Stored on your device — never uploaded.
Opens your phone's share sheet → X / Instagram / apps. The photo passes through your OS to that app; the post includes a link to your location page (a map card) — the photo itself is not on the link.
Writes a photo file to your phone. Yours to keep — it goes nowhere else.
Copies just the map URL — the coarse location, no photo.
The one path that puts the photo on our server — and only briefly: memory-only, up to 48 hours, up to 10 people you choose, never saved to disk or logged, and auto-deleted when it expires.
The only time a photo reaches our servers is the 48-hour private share you choose — and it deletes itself. Your location history stays on your device too.
Your pets are provably yours and don't vanish with a cleared cache.
